wedding, another seminar & the beach

On a lighter note, Sean and I are going to McMinnville to celebrate the nuptuals of our dear friends Geer and Natalie! They are having a reception/party at their cabin tonight. I am really excited about going and will try to take a bunch of pictures of their cute little nugget Kayden. I love her:) Geer and Sean were in the Marine Corps together and had just gotten back in touch last year. They are the most kind, generous, fun couple!

Sunday I will be going to Gatlinburg for a cemetery conference. I am also going with my boss, Lola. Our hotel has a pool and a lazy river! It will be fun to learn more about the industry and get to spend time with the owners and other big wigs in this area. I will definitely miss my husband (still sounds weird).

Sean is going to Emerald Isle to spend time at the beach with his family. I am super jealous because I love his family and he will also get to spend lots of time with our niece and nephew, Conner and Makayla. He better take lots of pictures!

UN motivated

So, unfortunately the Get Motivated seminar turned out to be somewhat of a scam. They considerably oversold the tickets and ran out of seats before it even started. It was quite chaotic and crowded. So my boss and I left. We called to complain about it and are 'supposedly' getting our money back. We will see. So if the Get Motivated crazies are coming to your town, i Do not recommend going. It is a waste of time and from what i heard they are continually preaching to everyone and also trying to get you to buy things from them. The whole point (I thought) was going to learn how to better sell, not to be sold too. Blah!

Get Motivated

Tomorrow I will be attending the Get Motivated Seminar It will be a welcome break from being in the office and I am going with my boss Lola, who is awesome. I am excited. It is at Thompson Boling arena from 8-5. Hopefully we will learn alot! Many famous people will be there, Pat Summit, Bruce Pearl, Rudy Guiliani, Lou Holtz, Zig Ziglar, and the one I am probably the most excited about Colin Powell. I will try to take many pics!!

Bachelorette party in Lexington, KY

Last weekend I went to KY for my good friend Katie's bachelorette party. We had an awesome time! We went to a winery Saturday, hung out in the hotel and open gifts. Then we went to dinner at Saul Good's restaurant. It was yummy! Then we headed downtown! We even got a band to play Rocky Top, even though we were in Wildcat country!

The story of Mr. and Mrs.

Many of our families live far away, so this will be a vessel to keep in touch. We are all busy people but we are hoping you are listening. This will be a streaming thought sort of experiment, and of course tons of pictures.

We are in a great place in our lives. One awesome year of marriage under our belts. We are homeowners, pet owners, hard- working, always learning, and loving everything that increases us. Exploring the world, Knoxville, our God and continually growing together.

This week has been about as normal of a schedule as is possible for us. Kristen works 8-5 mon-fri. Sean works a rotating swing shift. Thank God this week Sean has been on days. This means after work there is a traditional dinner together! Always a treat. Since Sean is almost always in training (currently on the docket-Louisville Ironman in August) and Kristen is undertaking training for a marathon with the O'Donnell family at the Marine Corps Marathon in DC on Oct. 31, this means fitting in a workout sometime afternoon.

Kristen usually has dinner prepared or at least underway since she gets off work a little earlier. You have got to check out the Pioneer Woman I highly recommend it. It has a ton of hilarious stories, lots of pictures, and favorite, recipes!!
